About Course
Purpose: This module introduces the structure and function of logic models as a tool for planning, communicating, and evaluating biomedical training programs. Participants will learn how to develop clear, measurable outcomes and use logic models to align program activities with intended results.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
- Define and describe the purpose, structure, and key components of a logic model, including inputs, activities, outputs, and short-, mid-, and long-term outcomes.
- Differentiate between outputs and outcomes and explain their roles in program planning and evaluation.
- Analyze sample logic models and apply best practices to draft measurable, aligned outcomes.
- Consider how a logic model can be used throughout the grant lifecycle to support planning, implementation, and evaluation.
